Cookie policy
This site stores almost nothing. Two items are needed for it to work at all; anything that measures you is off until you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time.
Why we ask, when no Cameroonian rule says we must
Cameroon has no equivalent of the European ePrivacy rules, and Law No. 2024/017 contains no cookie-specific provision. We still ask for consent before setting anything that measures you, for three reasons.
- Under Cameroonian law consent is doing most of the work as a lawful basis, and there is no “legitimate interest” fallback to rely on for analytics.
- You have a right to object to profiling, and advertising and remarketing tags are profiling.
- Measurement tools usually transfer data abroad, which Cameroonian law treats as a cross-border transfer requiring authorisation we cannot currently obtain. Every optional tag increases an exposure, so we keep the stack as small as we can.
Everything this site stores
| Cookie or store | Set by | Purpose | Kept for | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ss-lang | This site, in your browser’s local storage | Remembers whether you chose English or French so you do not have to switch on every page. | Until you clear your browser data | No, strictly necessary |
ss-cookies | This site, in your browser’s local storage | Records the choice you made in the cookie banner, including a refusal, so we do not ask again. The law puts the burden of proving consent on us, which is why the choice and its date are stored. | Until you clear your browser data or change your choice | No, strictly necessary |
lc_session_… (cookie); may also keep _ud in local storage | HighLevel (LeadConnector), United States | Counting page views, and linking a form you send to your visit. When you send a form, the same script delivers it to our admissions system in HighLevel. | lc_session_…: one day. _ud: until you clear your browser data. | Yes for measurement, off until you accept. Without it, the script loads only when you send a form, to deliver that request. |
Changing your mind
Use the button below. It clears the stored choice and the banner asks again. Refusing costs you nothing: every page on this site works identically either way, and we do not nag.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking the two necessary items only means the site forgets your language and asks about cookies again; nothing breaks.
