Where the programme points, and what it takes to get there.

The gap between finishing a course and being hired is experience nobody will give you without experience. The programme closes part of that gap with real client briefs, a certification the market already reads, and a short placement after Level 2. The rest is work, and we say so.

A remote team meeting on a video call

Two months, remote, on work somebody is waiting for.

It is part of the programme, not an add-on you pay extra for and not something you have to go and find.

After Level 2, learners who meet the conditions are placed on a two-month remote placement with a partner company in the United States. We arrange it. It is unpaid, it is part of the programme, and it is described in full in the enrolment terms rather than in a headline, because people in this region have been sold bigger promises than this by institutions that could not keep them.

  • Real tasks with a deadline, for someone who needs them done. What you produce goes in your portfolio with the host’s agreement.
  • A supervisor who will take a reference call. That is the part a junior CV never has, and the part a hiring manager abroad actually checks.
  • Two months of relevant work experience on paper, which is what immigration systems and remote employers count, where a certificate alone does not.
  • Unpaid, remote, and not a job offer. Nobody is charged for it and nobody is paid for it. There is no travel. Neither we nor the host undertake to hire you.
Every learner who completes Level 2 and meets the conditions is placed. The conditions are set out in the enrolment terms.

Our placement partner in the United States

We arrange the two-month placement with GetSocial, our partner in the United States. Everything above applies as written, and the enrolment terms remain the reference for the conditions.

Three doors, and we are honest about what each one needs.

Learners come to us for different reasons. The programme is built so that the same evidence works for all three.

Moving to Canada, the United States or Europe

If you are preparing to emigrate, you need skills that are read the same way on arrival. A current AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA, Meta, Databricks or the Python Institute certification is, and a portfolio of real client work answers the first question any employer abroad asks. Points-based systems award little for a training certificate itself; what they count is skilled work experience and, in some streams, assessed qualifications. The placement starts the first clock and the certification helps with the second. Neither is a visa. We give no immigration advice, and we will never sell you either.

Global remote work

Your working day already overlaps Europe’s, and you work in French and English, two advantages candidates in Nairobi and Lagos have to work harder for. What you have been missing is a certification a foreign employer recognises and a reference they can call. Both are built into the programme.

Standing out locally

For a junior data or cloud role in Cameroon, a degree on its own shows a hiring manager very little. You will have a vendor certification, three to five published projects built on real briefs, two months of work for a partner company, and a Career Passport link a hiring manager can open in thirty seconds. That puts you in a different pile.

And some of you may end up working with us.

We are a working company with paying clients. At Level 3 you deliver for one of them through SmartSana Labs, supervised, to a real deadline, with your name on the work. When we need people, we hire from our own cohorts. That is not a promise we can make to any individual, and we will not pretend it is, but it is the reason the teaching is held to the standard we hire at.

What we will not promise

  • A job. We can bring you to the hiring bar, prepare you for a vendor certification set to an international standard, put two months of work for a partner company on your CV and introduce you to employers. We cannot make anyone hire you, and any school that says otherwise is selling something.
  • That it will be light. Twenty-two hours a week for eleven weeks. If that does not fit your life right now, say so before you pay rather than after.
  • A visa. The internship and the certification both help an immigration file, one as relevant work experience, the other as an assessed credential. Neither is a visa, neither guarantees one, and we will never sell you one.
  • An employment rate. We have not run a cohort to completion yet, so we have no outcome figures and we will not borrow anyone else’s. When we have them, we will publish them with the methodology, the cohort size, the date and the response rate, including the bad ones.

Two ways to start. Both begin with a conversation.

Request information if you want an admissions advisor to call you, look at your profile and tell you honestly which programme and level fit. Apply if you already know. Either way, apart from the 10 000 FCFA application fee, which is your enrolment fee, paid once and not refundable, nothing is due until a place is confirmed in writing. After that, each tuition payment is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of making it.
